Challah French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf store bought or homemade challah bread (Trader Joe's has challah, but Flippin' Pat used a homemade challah for this recipe)

  • 2-3 eggs

  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon (add more or use less to your liking)

  • Butter

  • Toppings: syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, fruit preserves

Directions

  1. Slice challah bread loaf into pieces (you can even make them into sticks for kids!)

  2. Whisk eggs and add cinnamon

  3. Dip each piece of bread in egg mix making sure to cover completely on both sides

  4. Add butter to a hot pan so it's nicely coated

  5. Once butter is melted, add each piece of bread to the pan

  6. Cook on each side 2-3 minutes until egg is cooked

  7. Top with syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, fruit preserves or any other topping you wish!

  8. Enjoy!
