
Cheeseburger Pasta

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
- 16 ounces pasta
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 diced shallot
- 3 minced cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt, pepper, dried mustard powder
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar
- 4 ounces softened cream cheese
Directions
Heat olive oil in large skillet and brown ground beef. Drain any excess fat, season with salt, pepper, dried mustard, and Worcestershire sauce
Cook pasta according to directions on the package. I like to salt the water when adding the pasta
Reserve one cup of pasta water
Sprinkle ground beef with flour and allow to cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour in milk, softened cream cheese, grated cheddar, and about 1/3 cup of pasta water. Mix until everything is well combined and add in cooked pasta. Add more of reserved pasta water if needed to thin out a bit
