Easy Super Bowl Appetizers
Sweet & Spicy Party Meatballs and Cauliflower Buffalo Bites
Growing up, Super Bowl was always so much more than a football game. Super Bowl Sunday started in the kitchen with my mom making appetizers and evolved into a feast of yummy finger food surrounded by the echoes of family and friends cheering on the game. If we were hosting, we were in the kitchen making everything under the sun, but if we were going to a friend's home, it was usually an easier affair where we would whip up a tasty finger food dish or two to take with us. In honor of the finger food memories that sprinkle my childhood Super Bowl memories, I’ve collaborated with one of my favorite bloggers @everydaypursuits to bring you 2 quick and easy recipes. Ashley is a lifestyle and travel blogger plus posts all sorts of fun tips and the BEST fashion advice. She and I go waaaay back to when we both worked at Deloitte (10 years ago!) and who, coincidentally, inspired me to start @traderjoeslist. We came up with this idea because she did a live post about her Insta(nt) Pot and I had recently done a post about my Ninja Foodi - a relative of the Instant Pot with the ability pressure cook AND Air Fry. We chatted a bit about how these strange devices are a bit intimidating and kinda scary when you think of what’s actually happening when you pressure cook - like what if it explodes?! - ha! Don’t worry these devices are totally safe! The result was a collab and each of us making 1 appetizer in our respective machine. Ashley from @everydaypursuits decided to make Sweet & Spicy Party Meatballs and I made Buffalo Cauliflower Bites. Both of these can be made on the stovetop but will take a bit more time. If you are super strapped for time, the meatballs are SUPER quick, if you have more time and depending on the number of people to serve, I recommend making both!
