Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese Burger

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Trader Joe’s salted butter

  • 1 large Trader Joe’s Vidalia onion, thinly sliced

  • 1-2 tablespoons water, as needed

  • 1 lb. Trader Joe’s Organic Ground Beef

  • 1 teaspoon Trader Joe’s Umami seasoning

  • 1 cup Trader Joe’s Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese

  • 1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Organic Vegetarian Chili

  • 1 package Trader Joe’s Brioche Buns

  • 1/4-1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Crispy Jalapeño Pieces

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium low heat. Add onions, and stir occasionally until caramelized, 30-35 minutes. Add 1-2 tablespoons of water periodically towards the second half of cooking, to deglaze the pan and prevent burning. Once caramelized, set aside

  2. Grill burgers to desired doneness

  3. Warm hatch chile mac & cheese

  4. Assemble burgers

  5. Enjoy!
