Pat the Spatula loves a good recipe hack and is so excited to share this easy hatch chile mac & cheese idea with you! Using Trader Joe's Spicy Italian sausage and crispy jalapeño pieces, this recipe packs lots of heat and tons of flavor! Pat the Spatula hopes you give this hack a try and enjoy!

Ingredients

2 Spicy Italian chicken sausage links, sliced
1 package Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese
3/4 cup cooked broccoli
Salt & Pepper to taste
2 tbsp. crispy jalapeño pieces
Scallions, for topping

Directions

Preheat oven to 400ºF
Sauté chicken sausage pieces in a skillet over medium heat until browned
Cook mac & cheese in the microwave per package instructions
Add to a large bowl, followed by chicken sausage cooked broccoli, and salt & pepper to taste. Mix well and transfer to a small baking dish
Top with jalapeño pieces. Bake for 10 minutes, or until hot
Top with scallions or chives
Serve & enjoy!
