2 1/2 cups dry short pasta
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup half and half
2 cups shredded unexpected cheddar

Directions

Slice chicken sausage and sauté in one tablespoon of olive oil. Brown on both sides and then set sausage aside
Cook pasta according to direction in package
While pasta cooks, make cheese sauce. Start by melting butter in clean skillet. Whisk in flour and allow to cook a minute or two while stirring constantly
Slowly whisk in chicken broth and mix until smooth
Slowly whisk in half and half and whisk until smooth. Season with about a half a teaspoon each of salt and pepper
Fold in cheese and stir until melted and well combined
Mix in chicken sausage and serve!
