Ingredients

  • 6 apples (adjust amount according to how much charoset you are making). Gala or Fuji apples work best!

  • 1 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 4 oz Manischewitz Concord grape wine or grape juice (for non alcoholic)

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • lemon juice

Directions

  1. Chop the apples unpeeled in a food processor or by hand until they are in small pieces but not mushy

  2. In a food processor, chop walnuts until they are in small pieces

  3. Combine all ingredients and adjust for sweetness if desired

  4. Place in airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour prior to serving

  5. Serve with Matzo and enjoy!
