Philly Cheesesteak Pitas

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of shaved beef

  • 1 thinly sliced bell pepper (red or yellow)

  • 1 small onion thinly sliced

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • About a teaspoon of Trader Joe's Everyday Seasoning (can sub 1/4 teaspoon each garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes)

  • Avocado oil spray

  • 4 slices of provolone

  • 4 pitas

  • Optional: Trader Joe's Green Dragon Sauce

Directions

  1. Spray large pan with avocado oil and sauté sliced peppers and onions until tender, about 5 minutes

  2. Remove peppers and onions from pan and sauté shaved beef

  3. While meat is cooking, season with salt, pepper, and TJs Everyday seasoning. If meat is shaved thin, it should only take a few minutes to cook

  4. Add peppers and onions back to pan and mix with steak

  5. Top pitas with meat and veggie mixture and place slice of provolone on top of each

  6. Cook at 450° for about 5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly

  7. Serve with Trader Joe's Green Dragon Sauce
