When life hands you pomelos, make palomas! This pomelo paloma recipe is perfect for spring and summer and it can be made ahead of time in a pitcher or as needed! Palomas are typically made with grapefruit, but pomelos are a fun twist on this classic cocktail! You can also omit the alcohol to make this a mocktail. Golden Hour hopes you enjoy responsibly!
Juice of 2-3 pomelos
3-4 oz tequila of choice
Sparkling lemon or lime water
1 teaspoon sugar per glass
Mint for garnish
Peel skin and juice pomelos in a bowl by hand or with a juicer- the heavier the pomelo, the more juice it will contain
Discard pulp and seeds
Fill glass with ice
Pour 1/4 cup pomelo juice per glass
Mix in sugar- adjust accordingly as pomelos are tart
Mix in tequila
Pour sparkling lemon or lime water to fill the remaining glass
Top with fresh mint leaves
