Pat has a new easy and delicious recipe for you! They’re crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside (thanks to Trader Joe's cinnamon bun spread) and the vanilla glaze just takes them over the top! Pat has a sweet tooth and hopes you will try this recipe soon!
Vanilla glaze (mix together 1/3-1-2 cup powdered sugar, two tablespoons half and half, and 1/2 t of vanilla)
Directions
Roll out crescent rolls into four rectangles (press the triangles together to form the rectangles)
Spread cinnamon bun spread on two of the rectangles (about a tablespoon on each but spread on as much as you need to cover the dough with a thin layer). Top rectangles with spread with other two rectangles without and press them gently together
Cut rectangles into five strips (if you want them a little crunchier you can cut them each into 6 strips)
Hold each end of a strip and twist a few times. Place on baking sheet with parchment paper or baking mat
Brush twists with melted butter
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar
Bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes
Use spoon to drizzle glaze over twists (if serving right away you could even use glaze as a dip)
