Cinnamon Bun Twists

Ingredients

  • 1 tube of crescent rolls

  • Trader Joe's Cinnamon Bun Spread

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

  • Cinnamon sugar (1 tablespoon sugar + 1 teaspoon cinnamon)

  • Vanilla glaze (mix together 1/3-1-2 cup powdered sugar, two tablespoons half and half, and 1/2 t of vanilla)

Directions

  1. Roll out crescent rolls into four rectangles (press the triangles together to form the rectangles)

  2. Spread cinnamon bun spread on two of the rectangles (about a tablespoon on each but spread on as much as you need to cover the dough with a thin layer). Top rectangles with spread with other two rectangles without and press them gently together

  3. Cut rectangles into five strips (if you want them a little crunchier you can cut them each into 6 strips)

  4. Hold each end of a strip and twist a few times. Place on baking sheet with parchment paper or baking mat

  5. Brush twists with melted butter

  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar

  7. Bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes

  8. Use spoon to drizzle glaze over twists (if serving right away you could even use glaze as a dip)
