Pat loves to bake, especially in the fall! This brand new salty almond butter chocolate brownie recipe is perfect cozy fall days and packed with chocolate and almond butter making for a delicious sweet treat! Pat hopes you give this recipe a try and add to your baking rotation and enjoy!
3-4 ounces dark chocolate chunks (measure with your heart)
flaky sea salt
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350º F. Line a 9x13 inch glass casserole with parchment paper
In a microwave safe glass mixing bowl, melt together the butter and 1/2 cup almond butter, stirring every 30 secs until melted
Stir in the brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add the flour and baking powder
Transfer the bowl to the freezer and chill 5 min until the dough is no longer warm to the touch
Spread 1/2 the dough out in the casserole. Dollop and then gently swirl the remaining 1/4 cup almond butter into the dough and sprinkle with chocolate chips
Add the remaining dough overtop, adding more chocolate chips
Transfer to the oven and bake for 20-22 min
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chunks over the blondies
Return to the oven for 1-2 minutes to gently melt the chocolate. Sprinkle with sea salt
Let cool completely, refrigerating for 20-30 min, and then cut into bars
